Brick and Stone Cleaning products
There are tens if not hundreds of brick and stone cleaning products out there, and the purpose of this article is to highlight the most commonly used and easy to find ones. It is fairly difficult to say which is the best product as various chemicals perform differently on particular type of stone.
The job of cleaning a patio, brick wall or stone may look fairly trivial at first, however misuse of chemicals may end up disasterous. Some products may discolour the stone, others may severely damage it. For example, natural paving stone should never be cleaned with acid based cleaner - being a natural stone, it is possible that there are iron elements in the stone which would react with the acid cleaner, resulting in orange spots.
ALWAYS try the cleaning product on a small hidden surface first and WAIT for it to dry to ensure no damage has been done.
