Tile (non-glazed)

Non-glazed tiles are usually denser and thicker than glazed tiles, and are the choice for a slip resistant surface (laundry room, kitchen, bathroom, etc). Non-glazed tiles are also scratch resistant and retain a natural beauty, colored as they are by the mineral deposits from where the clay was originally taken. Examples of non-glazed tiles are Porcelain, terracotta, and Satillo tiles. Downside of non-glazed ceramic tile is the vulnerability to staining. It is a recommended to use some sort of sealant and a wax after installing unglazed ceramic tile indoors.
